DIY Pin Cushion using a wooden box from the Dollar Store and Infusible Ink

Learn how to make your very own unique, one of a kind, personalized pin cushion using a wooden box from the Dollar Store, scrap fabric, and infusible ink!
This craft project is "sew" easy, and really fun to make. I had a blast picking out fabrics to match the infusible ink colors. Another option would be to skip the fabric part and instead, put in a small magnetic tray!
Changing out the fabrics and infusible inks can make each pin cushion unique. If you don't have infusible ink, you can paint the wooden box and add heat transfer vinyl. It would also be cute to add hot fix crystals. The embellishment options are endless!

Custom Longarm Quilting Before and After video

Watch this short before and after video to see how custom longarm quilting transforms this applique quilt top! Seeing the before and after photos side by side really show the difference that the quilting makes to the quilt top.
My good friend Judy made this quilt top. She does some amazing applique work when she sews her quilt tops together. The quilt tops that Judy brings me always amaze me. Her piecing is spectacular, and just look at these bright sprint time colors!
As usual, I had a lot of fun custom longarm quilting this quilt top. The designs that I used were some feathers, free motion stippling and swirls. In the brown sashing I quilted leaves that matched the shape of the teal applique leaves that are in the outer white borders.
It took me about two weeks to custom quilt this one, but it was sooo worth it. Judy loved it…as do I.

Till next time, happy sewing everyone!
